Lower School Institute for those aged 12-13.

The Residential Summer Camp at Pebble Beach unlocks the ultimate summer experience for children in grades 5-8.

Intensive Morning Workshops: Designed to challenge and inspire, students can dive deep into the subjects they are passionate about, with the expert guidance of experienced faculty members. Spotlight on: The Harker School ELI (English Language Institution) Summer Camp
The Harker School is one of the US's top college prep schools, offering students in kindergarten-grade 12 a high-quality, well-rounded and world-class education. Harker offers special ELI programmes for international students in G2-G8 interested in improving their English speaking and writing skills. International students often attend Harker's English Language Institute to prepare for an American boarding school or an international school. Students of all levels, from beginning to highly advanced, are accepted and placed in a class designed to meet their individual needs. The programme features:
Curriculum: The in-person programmes offer multiple levels of academic instruction. The challenging learning environment combines traditional and contemporary instruction in small class sizes. The rich curriculum includes cultural excursions to support classroom learning and provides extensive opportunities for off-campus English practice.
Elementary Programme: Children will have an academic morning with English learning and an activity-based afternoon. As part of the afternoon activity programme, the ELI Camp will join the Camp PLUS Programme to enjoy an immersive experience with native English speakers. They will attend local field trips and rotate through our recreational programmes.
Secondary Programme: Students work in small groups using a comprehensive curriculum designed to match instruction to their individual needs and English ability. All levels focus on reading, writing and speaking skills. Lessons are designed to promote improvement and encourage confidence in all areas of English. Homework is assigned as appropriate for practice and reinforcement outside the classroom.
Spotlight on: US Winter Exchange Programme During this 2-week Winter Exchange Programme, Chinese students go to the US and join a local school, immersing themselves in typical campus life. Our partner schools in the US are premium boarding schools, such as Stevenson School in California, and top quality private schools, such as Southland School in California, Coventry Christian School and Northwood School.
Immersion Experience: US high school classrooms cultivate independent learning and critical thinking skills. Students are highly encouraged to express their own opinions in class. Students also benefit significantly from rigorous English writing practice and collaborative tasks.
Host Families: Host families organise various activities for students such as sports, university tours and museum visits, giving them exposure to daily cultural and family life in America.
Cross-Border Friendships: The US high school experience is by no means limited to the classroom. Students talk and eat with their peers and quickly form close friendships. In forming such warm international friendships, students gain more self-awareness and cultural confidence.
Spotlight on: US University School Tour and English Immersion Programme More and more students are becoming interested in applying to US universities. In the summer, Scientia Academy leads students on in-depth visits to top universities on the East and West Coasts and runs 2-week immersive academic summer programmes at a top secondary boarding school in Boston (The Cambridge School of Weston).

Other Visits:As well as university campus tours and an academic summer programme, the trip also includes exciting high-tech company visits such as Google and Nvidia, museum tours such as California Academy of Science, the Intel Museum, a visit to the city of Boston and a trip to watch a New England Revolution Soccer Game.
Spotlight on: US Secondary School Tour School visits are an excellent opportunity for students to learn first-hand about campus and academic life before joining a secondary boarding school in the US. Effective school visits are also an excellent chance for students to develop their application planning, including building a target school list and gaining a deep understanding of the admissions criteria of various schools. Every summer, Scientia Academy organises a school tour to visit various types of boarding schools in the New English Region.
One-Week School Tour:visiting 10-12 prestigious secondary boarding schools in the New English Region. Target students are those in Grades 5-9 and have decided or are considering applying to US high schools in the future.
